Lincoln Contractors Supply was founded in 1956 by Al Knief and Bill Guenther at a site near what is now the main store and corporate offices for LCS. The company was later purchased by their sons Norm Knief and Dale Guenther in the early 1980’s.  In the late 1990’s LCS purchased Distributors, Inc. in Green Bay, WI which became the 7th  LCS store and opened up the Fox Valley to Lincoln.

In 2001 LCS entered into an industry alliance with FABCO RENTS – The Cat Rental Store which launched the greatest period of expansion in LCS history. The new alliance expanded the LCS presence to 13 statewide locations from Kenosha in the far southeastern part of Wisconsin to Hudson in the Northwest.

Today Lincoln Contractors Supply carries a full line of tools and equipment primarily geared toward the concrete industry. Some of the manufacturers carried by LCS are Dewalt, Makita, Wacker, Husqvarna, Soffcut, Sullair, Rolair, Klein Tools, Kraft Tools, Marshalltown, Cleform, and Powers Fasteners.
